FAQs

Climate

The Maldives enjoys a tropical climate with consistently warm temperatures year-round and plenty of sunshine, making it an ideal destination for a liveaboard trip. With temperatures typically ranging between 25°C and 32°C, it’s perfect for enjoying the outdoors at any time. Although the weather is influenced by monsoon patterns, the Maldives' location near the equator means the monsoons are less intense than in nearby regions, and severe storms are rare. This ensures perfect conditions for a smooth, worry-free liveaboard adventure with us.

Electricity

In the Maldives, the electric current is 220V, 50Hz AC, and most power outlets follow the British standard. It's a smart idea to carry a travel adapter, as you may occasionally need one.

Currency

The official currency of the Maldives is the Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR), though US dollars are widely accepted, especially in resorts, hotels, and tourist shops. Major credit cards are also commonly used, making transactions convenient. While local islands and smaller establishments may prefer payment in Rufiyaa, you’ll have no trouble using dollars or cards in most tourist areas. Onboard Coral Bliss Maldives liveaboards, we accept both US dollars and major credit cards, ensuring a seamless experience for all your expenses during your trip.
